Britxotica! (pronounced “Britzotica”) neatly describes an odd and yet undocumented pre-Beatles British musical scene where famed UK composers as well as unknown singers and bandleaders threw convention on holiday and went wild wild wild!

As a musical compilation concept, Britxotica! was thought up and put together by legendary “Smashing” DJ (and co creator of The Sound Gallery) Martin Green and maverick collector Jonny Trunk.

The original three Britxotica! Were pressed on vinyl and sold fast. But since we started the series we always wondered how to best put them onto CD. A single CDs? A twofer? Well, we finally settled on a 3 CD box set. So here it is, our first three super groovy, super exotic and truly exceptional Britxotica! LPs all as CDs and all in a very British box. That’s 48 tracks of very rare British brilliance across these three superb albums:
